Today we have a jumper! The Moon has joined the Ace of Wands (representing good news) and The Magician (representing bad news).
The spread I use for these posts is good news on the left, bad news on the right. At a glance, it’s hard to see The Magician as bad news, but let’s dig in.
Aces represent new beginnings. I’ve heard wands represent endeavors or projects. You have a new project! Good for you! I see The Magician as a card of personal power. You may be pursuing it with all your power, but given that The Magician is in the bad news slot, I’m thinking maybe this spread is advising you to slow down. That gives me the vibe that this new thing may be a romantic relationship. In that case, I’d advise you to be mindful that while a romantic relationship can be an endeavor, people aren’t projects.
The jumper I’m going to interpret as being for me, as opposed to part of this reading. We’re going to peer into my life for a minute. My shorthand for the moon is that it indicates secrets or secrecy. Kind of ironic that it’s inspired me to share about my life here for the first time. What is the secret that the dogs are barking at?
I’ve been ruminating a little bit about posting more behind the scenes information as I get this thing ready to go. This card is pretty ambiguous about whether it is telling me to keep these things secret or to shout them. One of the things I enjoy about the tarot is that different visual elements seem to stand out for each reading. Today I see the light the moon is shining down. It’s sharing it’s light. Perhaps I should do the same.
